What is the correlation between BWD and diameter of implants?

My BWD is 12-12.5. Are you supposed to get implants with diameters that fit your BWD? Or do you have to stay in between a certain range of cm to your BWD?

I will be getting Natrelle style 20 HP silicone. One will be 425 cc and the other 450 cc. Looking at the Natrelle catalog, 425 cc has a diameter of 12.0 and the 450 cc has a diameter of 12.4. Both implants seem to fit my BWD.

Is it better to get implants with a diameter bigger than your BWD or is it better to get smaller than your BWD? My BWD seem to fit right with the diameters of the implants. Does this sound right?

Will this give me cleavage? Any side boob? I'm just curious what I might look like.

Two weeks tomorrow, I will actually have something on my chest to look at! :happy dance:

Question about pocket and BWD

I went to my PS yesterday. I will get my saline implants in 2 weeks. I am a tad nervous and wanted to run something by you.

This is the same PS that did my revision last June. Last June he said my BWD was 12.5. Just 2 months ago he said it was 13cm. Yesterday he said it was 14cm! This concerns me. Why such the discrepancy? He used the same caliber for each measure.

Anyhow, the saline implants i have in now are 12.7 cm wide. They are mods... 360 filled to 395cc.

I am looking for more projection, hence going with High Profile. I wanted 425HP filled to 500cc with a width of 12.5. He said that was a terrible idea, because now my BWD is 14cm and they would move around too much. He said my pocket is bigger now and I have to stay the same width or go bigger.

He wanted to give me 550 filled to 590 with a width of 13.1. I didn't want to go that big. He said the bare minimum that he would put in me was 500 filled to 550 with a width of 12.8.

I am confused and don't understand the whole pocket reasoning. He told me that it would be too difficult to make the pocket smaller? But I have a 12.7 implant now so 12.5 isn't that much smaller? I have a very close cleavage and I am afraid to go wider.

I don't know what to do now. What is your professional opinion about BWD and Pocket Size?

So I just had my second consult and I am, again, over the moon! Throughout my dream for bigger breasts, I think I had just convinced myself that I was too deformed and that it could never be fixed or I would never have the money.

After 2 consults, I am so happy that I have been completely proven wrong on both accounts :-) :-) :-)

I am so lucky that both PS had the same recommendation on size. Basically they both feel the biggest I can go in 300 CCs with my current breast tissue and even that may not be true once I am actually getting the surgery.

I think what made me like my second surgeon a little more is that even though I didn't feel rushed with my first consult, the level of detail he talked about, without me even asking any questiosn, really made me feel a lot more comfortable. Also, his facility has one board certified anesthesiologist that will be by myside the whole time and not being in a hospital allows him to use a less intense version of sedation ( forgot his exact term).

The only major difference is my first consult strongly recommended textured silicone and he prefers to use smooth. Also, the second PS is a little more flexible in surgery dates and I could actually make it to my goal date...

I have one more consult scheduled in June, but since I honestly feel that I would have great results with either of my first two consults, I am wondering if it's worth it to spend another 100$ or just take the plunge and make my appointment.

I have been doing happy dances since I saw my first consult, it's hard to continue my crazy excitement that soon(ish) I will be closer to the body I always wanted.

Weight gain & internal bra

Hi Dr. Revis! I have a question for you about how weight gain can impact the internal bra. I have recently had some medically related weight gain, about 15lbs on a small 5'1.5" frame. I have noticed that I now have pain on the side of my ribcage, further around to my back. I depends on activity or movement of that arm. I had the same pain while pregnant (25lb weight gain) and it resolved itself.

Is it normal to have some pain and sensitivity from the internal bra with weight changes? I am assuming it is because the muscle changes that go along with the weight changes. Obviously, the best thing to do is to loose weight, and I am waiting to find out what exactly caused the weight gain. If this weight is permanent is there something I can do to ease the discomfort? I was thinking stretching could help. I just want to ease the pulling on the sutures feeling.

Hi girls, I am about 10 weeks post op, the day before yesterday my right nipple( the side without the lift) started hurting, like a bruising feeling, also inside the nipple, behind it, feels cold. It's so hard to describe, sorry. Seeing my PS 10th May wondering if I should go sooner, it really hurts.

Anyone experience anything like this?

I'll be 8 weeks on Monday. Dr released me to workout as long as it doesn't hurt he said at 4 weeks. I waited until this week to start. I've been walking and did light kickboxing the last 2 days. Was pretty sore last night..so skipped kb today. My sons gf said I must be doing something right ;) So now here's my question...do you think I can do these exercises? Thinking to start with 2 lb weights?!?

My PS suggested smooth round moderates even before he told me about anything else such as high profile not giving me an option…I clearly said I wanted cleavage.. I also said I wanted to aim for a small D rather then a C size ( just saying to compare a size)

He also took pics of me today at my pre op but I did not try on anything to try out sizes & he didn't use a computer to show me how my breasts might look at certain sizes.. so I am going off of what HE says 100%.

As of right now I'm getting 325 or 350cc( max he will do- Maybe). Smooth round mod.. any advice? is this a normal pre op? I went to this PS because he's top 25 in Ohio and my family has been to him many times.

I guess if anyone can give me their advice on the high profiles vs smooth round mods vs smooth rd plus that would ease my mind!

OMG i am soooooooooooo happy! After all this time waiting for the revision, finding the right time, Im scheduled to come in this thursday for the pre-op and finalize the date. My competition season will be on hiatus after 7/5/14 so I plan to get it done that following week. Im hoping if I decide to compete again in November I will be all healed and ready to train 3 weeks post revision.
I havent quite decided on the size but Im leaning towards 700-750, I know doc says 800cc uhp. We will see!!!
Either way Im super excited!!!

Oh whilst Im there on Thursday Ill be getting a little under eye and cheek area juvederm! SKIN TIGHT!!

I'm 2 weeks post op and have been having some troubles compared to most. I went for my second post op and the nurse informed me I had a hematoma and that they were just going to allow it to heal on it's own. I know the PS suspected this may be the case before my first post op as I had complained about swelling and pain.

Does this sound right?

Update: Popping Incisions

I emailed the nurse today about the popping & tenderness in my incision on the right side. She said it will pass. It happened again today but on the left side. It was a very faint pop, pop, pop. I think it's the sutures popping because after the popping the incisions are smooth. Weird huh lol

I had my 2 month PO today, even though I'm not 2 months. I've been cleared to do any exercising I want, if it hurts don't do it was my instructions :) we took some preliminary B&A pics, I was shown where I STILL HAVE SWELLInG!!!! I can't believe I'm going to get even smaller! Crazy. I' didn't think to ask for my pics, I'll email for them and share.
I'm beyond happy, I can't believe it's going to get better!
