One of my friend had a positive experience with Dr. Frank Plovier and she looked so natural but still big and I decided to go with him. I planned overseas trip anyway so why not to spend few days in Brussels?
I've contacted the clinic and got the quotes (cheaper than any US surgeon). Clinic staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, they provided me with necessary papers to obtain Belgian visa and answered thoroughly my every single question usually the same business day. I did have some troubles with international wire transfer and they were willing to understand that and still kept my booked date which was October, 8th. Dr. Plovier was booked 3 months in advance so I got plenty of time for visa process.
I had my pre-op consultation via email, sent them my pictures and the look I was after and they told me that I could easily achieve that, no worries. OK. When I received my visa I was shocked because the first day of entry was October, 8th, the exact day of my surgery and the earliest time I could get to the clinic was around noon. Originally I was supposed to come at 7am and again the clinic staff was pretty helpful and rearranged my surgery to a bit later.
The hardest part was requirement not to drink or eat at least 7 hours before intervention due to possible complications. Usually I drink plenty of water, around 1 1/2 gallon every day and I was super dehydrated after the flight. I did not drink before surgery 13 hours total. I took a taxi at the airport and went straight to the clinic. Dr. Plovier was still busy with another patient who got late and I took a nap in waiting room which was very helpful since my flight was really early that day and I felt very weak. They provided me with cutest ever fluffy grey bathrobe, it was so cozy and I was thrilled when it turned out to be a gift.
Around 6pm I finally met with Dr. Plovier. I must say he is incredibly good looking guy and highly professional. The last consultation was very short:
- What size are you now?
- I'm not sure, maybe 75b
- What size do you want?
- I don't know, maybe DD or DDD
- Do you have pictures of what you want?
- Sure, here they are.
He swiped through my wish pictures and told me that he will do that. Then he marked smth on my chest, asked if I have any questions for him, I simply asked if there will be HP profile and he agreed that HP was what I needed for my wish look. Then I got to the operation room and it was so cold there, I didn't want to remove that fluffy bathrobe but nurses assured me that the surgical table was warmed up. OK then. I took two lungful from oxygen mask and fell asleep.
I woke up very dizzy and with blurry vision which was gone in about 15 min. Finally a nurse brought me a drink and some bread topped with jelly. It was late evening and there was no one in the clinic left, just me and the nurse. She told me I ended up with 450cc and gosh, they were huge. When I managed to get up myself I decided to go to the hotel while in no pain. She gave me papers about my surgery, my implant card, a pack of medications (oxynorm, ibuprofen and paracetamol as painkillers and antibiotic as well), described in details how I should take them and called for a taxi.
The next day was like hell. And the next. Painkillers did not help that much. When I went to breakfast I asked someone to help me get a bowl, to pour some milk and a very kind lady offered to get me a coffee but I could not lift the mug. Needless to say I started to vomit due to oxynorm and it felt like my boobs were about to fall off my chest right to the restroom floor. I delivered a 10lb baby (4,5kg) with no anesthesia at all and it was nothing compared to this pain, not even close. After 3 or 4 days pain finally got bearable.
My follow up appointment was on 6 day post op at 7 am. Dr. Plovier took a look, was pleased with the results and changed dressings on my incisions. He showed me my implants from huge variety on his office desk, mine were bluish and contained electronic chip and soft like jelly. He was even so kind to call for a taxi for me himself because no one speaks English in Brussels and his nurses were all busy. This was very generous of him in my opinion. No massaging, just post op bra and a velcro strap 24/7 for 4 weeks.
I'm 2 weeks post op now and I'm super satisfied with my results :) right now I have 8 inches difference between breasts and band. Cannot wait when they drop and fluff :)
